Mr.Steve and Dr.Diana from England "We stayed in this apartment for two weeks in September 2005 and were delighted with our visit. The apartment is small but more than adequate for two people. It is well appointed with two balconies providing views of the mountains from one and of the small square in the neighbourhood and the sea from the other. Ernesto is very helpful and shows new holidaymakers the ropes. There is central heating, a gas hob and combined electric and gas oven and a fridge/freezer. Crockery and cooking utensils are provided and the small bathroom has a separate wet area with toilet, bidet and shower -good after a day walking in the hills or just swimming in the Adriatic! The apartment is in a quiet and newly built area, which the local authority is protecting against further development. The beach is about 400 yds away and is quiet and very clean. Shopping is easy at the “Maxi Tigre” about 1 mile away, open 7 days and where you can find a good stock of everything you need. The local restaurants are two minutes’ walk away and represent very good value providing a good variety of general Italian and fish specialities. Most main courses are priced at around £10 at the most. There are also a couple of Bars and ice-cream parlours where you can sample locally made delights! The “rip off” mentality has not yet arrived in Scerne di Pineto – long may that last! Everyone in the area is very friendly and sociable and want to get to know you and make you welcome. Give it a try – we are going again!"
